Girls Ministries is a church-based discipleship program that has a legacy of godly women coming alongside girls, guiding them on a path to becoming mature and godly women. Our goal is simple: To see every girl moving toward a deep relationship with Jesus Christ and to realize her importance and potential in the kingdom of God.

Girls Ministries is the premier program for preschool through high school girls in the world. No other ministry to girls program has our variety of activities, focused discipleship track, or a 65-year proven track record of helping girls become confident, godly women.

CHARTERING & FORMS

Quarterly Reports are to sent from local churches to the Potomac Girls Ministries office to provide information about discipleship milestones, missions giving, and ministry wins. Churches also send tithe to the office on a quarterly basis.

Chartered churches enjoy discounts and perks at events hosted by Potomac Girls Ministries. Only girls and leaders at chartered churches receive recognition for their accomplishments (e.g., honor/graduation certificates) at the district level and may participate in the PGM-sponsored celebrations. All Girls Ministries leaders at chartered church are also invited to The Sorority, an online network that provides community and professional development. The chartering year begins Sept. 1.

Coins for Kids is the Girls Ministries arm of BGMC (Boys and Girls Missionary Challenge) and was developed to give girls the opportunity to further develop a heart of compassion through an emphasis on missions. As girls pray for missionaries and as they give money to support projects around the world, our desire is that these same girls will feel the call to go!

Coins for Kids is partnering with missionary Suzanne Hurst, who serves with Africa Oasis. This ministry partners with local churches to help provide clean drinking water across Africa. Access to clean water, changes everything—health, educational opportunities, and family finances. Coins for Kids will raise money to provide bucket water filters and water education. These filters have been proven to eliminate over 99% of all contaminants and bacteria in water. One filter provides enough daily water for a family of up to ten people and, when properly cared for, can last for a decade!

In Africa, there are over 80,000 local Assemblies of God churches. We're helping these churches bring clean water to communities across Africa. We can send a water filter to a community in need for just $35. Potomac Girls Ministries' goal is 1,000 filters in 2023!
